Dear Family and Friends.
Alzheimer’s is a dreadful disease that wreaks havoc on the lives it touches. Today, your support is needed and would be greatly appreciated, to help Cathy and Kevin Coward who are facing financial hardship caused by Kevin’s early onset Alzheimer’s diagnosis. In brief, our goal is to raise $31,500 to help cover the unexpected cost of legal fees and the unused balance of an office space lease agreement for which they are responsible.
Until Kevin’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis, he was a passionate leader in mental health care as the founder and owner of the award-winning clinic, Liberating Lives Christian Counseling and Psychological Services, in Norfolk, Virginia. Unfortunately, winning awards does not necessarily mean turning a profit. As Kevin’s Alzheimer’s disease progressed, he was forced to close Liberating Lives and manage outstanding expenses at a considerable personal cost. Although all affairs of the business were thought to have been final, it has recently come to light that they are additionally responsible for a very large payment to the owner of the building, where Liberating Lives leased space, to satisfy the remaining rent required to fulfill their contract. Assistance from legal counsel has been useful in reducing the payment, but Cathy and Kevin are left with an amount owed that they cannot manage on their own!
As a Registered Nurse and a Reverend/Professional Counselor, Cathy and Kevin have donated their knowledge and time to any number of charitable endeavors. They are faithful members of their church and community who have literally offered the shoes off their feet in the spirit of selfless giving. Both have headed the call of serving others, even in the toughest of times and have saved many lives. Now, Cathy and Kevin need our help! Please, if you can, contribute to this worthy endeavor to help offset the hardship that they have incurred. Then also, if you would please, share this page with your family and friends. Above all else, thank you for your love and support as they face the demons that Alzheimer’s has yet to bring.
