Support Ava’s Fundraising for Caritas Goa: Empowering Children Who Are Blind and Deaf

During her recent visit to Goa, Ava L. had a deeply moving experience at a stall set up by Caritas at St. Francis Xavier’s Church. The activity involved wearing a blindfold and headphones to simulate the challenges faced by children who are both blind and deaf. Using only her senses of touch, smell, and taste, Ava gained profound empathy for children who navigate life with these obstacles daily.

Inspired by this experience, Ava returned home determined to make a difference. She decided to host a concert and recreate the same activity to help others understand the reality of living without sight and hearing. Her compassion and determination to support this community have been truly inspiring.

Since her return home, Ava has been doing kind jobs around the house and donating all her pocket money to the cause. She has also sold her old toys to raise money. Ava has raised $200 already. She has also enlisted the support of her best friend, Ava P., to join her fundraising efforts. Together, their goal is to raise $1,000 to support the incredible work of Caritas Goa in empowering children who are blind and deaf.
