Hi my name is Cheri Denning.

I have been ill many many times this last year. I ended up in the hospital nearly a dozen times last year. During that time I was very frustrated because they never knew what was wrong and ending up in the hospital again in a couple weeks

During one of my last visits to our local hospital they finally found out that I have Myelofibrosis.

Myelofibrosis (MF) is a rare, chronic blood cancer most commonly called bone marrow cancer. Bone marrow is what produces your blood cells. I am at a stage where my blood cells are at as low as you can go and still be alive. Your red blood cells carry the oxygen to all your organs and muscles. When you muscles are oxygen deprived it is extremely aching and painful throughout your whole body.

I am now being treated at City Of Hope (COH) in Duarte Ca.

This institution, the doctors, nurses, and support personnel are all so incredible. I have never been cared for so well.

Now, why am I asking for your help?

Over the last year I have not been able to work and have subsequently exhausted all my finances and resources.

I've been spending about $100 a week in gas driving 100 miles a day to the hospital in Duarte two-three times a week.

On January 9th 2023 I start my second chemo therapy.

This is will be followed by a bone marrow transplant which will keep me in the the hospital for a month. I don't know how long it will take to recover but I will be diligently fighting my way back and want to get back to work ASAP.

When I recover I will need some time to find a job (the one I had is now gone) and get back on my feet again.

The bottom line is I need help with basic living expenses until I can provide for myself again.

I will promise and commit to you, the day I get my first paycheck, I will close my GoFundMe account and put the residual balance back into the COH or someone else in need.
