I hope this message finds you well, though I'm reaching out today with a heavy heart concerning my sweet boy Bruce.

Bruce has been diagnosed with benign prostatic hyperplasia, aka an enlarged prostate. He has constant discomfort, frequent attempts to urinate, and recurring urinary tract infections. His usual goofy spirit has been dampened by this, and it breaks my heart to see him suffering.

After consultations with his veterinarian, the most effective and essential treatment to alleviate his suffering and prevent further complications is neutering, which offers the best long-term solution to improve his quality of life significantly.

However, Bruce's situation is complicated by another critical health concern. He is a carrier of Von Willebrand’s Disease, which is a serious blood clotting disorder. This means his surgery is far from routine. To ensure his safety and prevent life-threatening bleeding, he will require extra anesthesia and very specialized clotting medications. These are necessary for his treatment and significantly increase the overall cost of his care.

I want to provide Bruce with immediate relief; however, the substantial expense of this surgery is, unfortunately, beyond my current financial capabilities, and I find myself in a difficult position asking for help.

Any contribution, no matter the size, is very much appreciated and would bring us closer to providing the care Bruce urgently needs and deserves.
