Hey all! We wanted to share an update on Brienne's "journey" (shout out to all the Bachelor fans).
She is now cancer free, after a successful Mastectomy!
However, the hard parts are far from behind her. She still has to undergo many rounds of radiation, weeks of PT, and many reconstructive surgeries.
Unfortunately, things had to be put on temporary hold, due to the fact that she was recently in a car accident.
She (and Teagan) are doing OK. (It was the complete fault of the other 2 drivers, btw. ) But when it rains, it pours! Her car was totaled!
She worked so hard to save up for it, and only had it for a few yrs. We all know how hard its been, since the pandemic, to find an affordable car.
This accident has made it impossible to start radiation when she had hoped to, as it slowed down her healing process. Also, she didn't have a car to get to her many Dr appts, after insurance stopped paying for a rental.
It's been a rough road this year for Brie! Though, she's barely complaining or crying "whoa is me". (I personally would be!)
She's remained tough!
We really can't thank everyone enough for their very generous donations to her go-fund me page! If not for that, she wouldn't be able to find a new safe car for her and teagan.
As it is, she's missing out on even more jobs because of the lack of a car for the past month.
Some of this money that was meant to help supplement the loss of work, is now going towards a new unexpected expense.
But that's life, and the alternative is far worse.
On briennes behalf, our family wants to thank you so much for your generosity, your prayers, thoughts, time, your free rides, your gifts, your meals.....all of it! When dark clouds roll in, its that much more beautiful to see the rainbow on the other side!

Many of you know our beautiful sister, Brienne. She’s an amazing mom to our precious niece, Teagan, a deeply loved sister, daughter, and friend to so many!
Brienne was just recently diagnosed with Stage 2 metastatic breast cancer.
The aggressive treatment plan is multifold over the course of a year. It will be physically, emotionally, and financially demanding.
She has been blessed with a very kind and compassionate medical team and support system, but regardless, it's still scary and exhausting!
Brie has had to face many challenges over the years, yet has kicked butt every time. #briefightslikeagirl
While she's out there hustling as a single mom, there will undoubtably be times when she won't be able to work her physically demanding job, as advised by her doctors. The treatments will steal much of her strength and she will be out of work for several weeks while recovering from her upcoming surgery.
Cancer takes so much from people, but she won't let it take her fighting spirit or her wicked sense of humor!!
We truly believe that it takes a village, so we're humbly reaching out to you, our friends, family, and communities for your support.
Let's fight alongside her through this!
#Briesfight
Together, we’re hoping to raise funds that will help ease the financial burden of when she's unable to continue working.
Her insurance company has already denied some medical necessities, and she will face more out of pocket expenses.
With your support, we'll be able to help supplement some of the expenses she'll face as a single mother raising a teenage daughter on Long Island.
If you have the means, and have it in your hearts, please contribute what you can through donations, encouragement, and the power of prayer.
Our family is forever grateful for any donation and all encouragement .
With love,
Brie’s sisters~
Caitlin, Devon, & Shannon, and family
