Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My family’s world has been turned upside down since I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer a few months ago. While I’ve been fighting this battle with the love and support of my family, we’ve been facing some overwhelming challenges along the way.

My husband has been working tirelessly to provide for us while also managing everything at home. He’s been juggling work and helping me with my daily treatments, which require us to drive about an hour each way to the cancer center. Unfortunately, just before my surgery, both of our vehicles broke down. While we’ve managed to get one car running with the help of family, it still doesn’t have working heat, which makes our already difficult mornings even harder. We laugh to keep the mood light, but the added stress of these cold drives has been weighing on us.

We’re about halfway through my treatment, and we’re really hoping for some warmer weather soon. On top of everything, we recently lost my beloved mother-in-law, and our family has been in mourning. She was such an incredible woman, and I’m heartbroken that she won’t be here to see me beat this cancer.

Despite our best efforts, we are struggling to keep up with the mounting bills, both from the hospital and our everyday expenses. We’ve already used up all our vacation hours at work, and we’re falling behind on bills we can’t catch up on. We’ve always been a proud family and have never asked for help before, but we’ve reached a point where we truly need it.
