Bolton Destitute Animal Shelter Half Marathon Run
I am running the Great Manchester Run Half Marathon on 26th May 2024 to help raise some much needed funds for this amazing animal shelter.
Donations, no matter how small will help contribute to the running of the shelter and will ensure the animals receive the care and attention that they desperately need.
Bolton Destitute Animal Shelter do such an amazing job including some of the following;
- They take in and rehome unwanted dogs and cats in the Bolton area.
- They neuter, vaccinate, microchip all those in their care.
- They carry out home visits on both cats and dogs and have a foster scheme where a elderly or ill dog or cat is adopted and they pay all vets fees for that animals life.
- They do not receive any government funding and solely rely on donations and wills. They have paid staff as well as many volunteers. They also run a lost/found database.
