I am fundraising for a local single mother and her son who just had open heart surgery. His mother has taken time off work, to look after her boy. She has applied for EI caregiver benefits, but hasn’t received anything yet. Last night she was flown to Edmonton to stop a bleed on her son’s incision. Grande prairie hospital told her there may be a clot. She’s currently in Edmonton, and is trying to navigate hotels, food and necessities. On top of that she was 270 short on rent, and her landlord was threatening her with homelessness, in this weather. I’ve always known grande prairie people to be charitable and help others. If you can find it in your hearts to send anything at all, I’m sure it will help the two of them in their time of need. Thank you.
