In March of 2023, I was diagnosed with Type 2A Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC). Unfortunately, the tumors grew and multiplied, and I was upgraded from Type 2A to Type 4, with a 15% chance of survival.

During this time, I needed to take leave from work. While out of work, my job cancelled my health insurance and delayed benefits payments, causing all my bills to go to collections, my rent went unpaid and the medical bills just kept coming.

After all the chemo, PET scans and doctor visits, the money owed became insurmountable.

I have a teenage son, who’s in his senior year of high school. He’s my anchor and my strongest supporter. I’d like to be able to provide a stable home environment again.

The funds would go towards all the medical bills that have piled up and getting my rent back on track.

Oh, I should also mention that my most recent PET scan was extremely positive, with the doctor upgrading my chance of survival from 15% to 85%! I’ve been looking for permanent work and giving my body much-needed time to heal.
