In the blink of an eye, life can change forever. My best friend Braelynn and her 2-year-old son have just survived every parent’s worst nightmare—a devastating house fire in the beautiful Langley BC.

When the flames broke out, Braelynn fought through the smoke and fire to save her little boy. Thanks to her bravery, they made it out alive, but not without terrible injuries. Her son was air-lifted to children’s hospital with severe burns covering 20% of his tiny body. Braelynn herself also sustained burns during the rescue but has been released from hospital.

They’ve lost almost everything— most of their home, their belongings, their sense of normal—but they didn’t lose each other. Now begins the long road to healing, recovery, and rebuilding not only their personal belongings, but their sense of safety and security. 

We are asking for your support to help them through this unimaginable time. Every donation, no matter the size, will go toward lost  expenses, basic necessities, and the long journey of starting over. It is unknown right now how much of their home they really lost, including smoke and water damage.
