I don't know where to start. January 1st, our lives changed forever. My parents ( Ken and Mary Baker) had gotten a call that my brother hadn't showed up for his shift at Totten Trail. Mike and my dad worked together at Totten Trail for awhile now. So dad took a drive to town and went to Mike's to see what's up. He didn't expect to find his oldest son, on the floor, lifeless. It was apparent, my brother had passed away hours earlier, but dad still tried to bring back to us. EMTs and the police were called. My poor dad, in a state of shock, then drove 10 miles back home to Coleharbor to explain to my mom what he found. This news tore our family apart. We do not know for sure what happened. NO Foul play or suicide.

My loving brother has two children. Michael Jr. his adult son living and working in Bismarck and allso a 17-year-old daughter, HaLeigh who lived with him and was getting ready to finish her senior year and graduate. She was then planning on moving to Bismarck, as she has been accepted to Bismarck State College. Her 18 birthday, just weeks away. Mike was so proud of Haleigh. Anyone that knew him, knew HaLeigh was his world. Mike spoke her often.

Haleigh would like to stay in school in Underwood. She wants to continue to graduate High School to make her daddy proud. She is going to need help financially as the two kids have funeral expenses, housing expense as she is staying in the apartment her dad and her shared. So please if you can, help, or at least share.

Also, I would like to add that February 23, 2025 will be a celebration of life for Mike, starts at 2pm @ Totten Trail. Let's show Mike just how much he is loved and missed. We will forever have a piece of our hearts missing.
