I am Joshua Longs fiancé Stacy, he is 46 years old and has been in pain in his left side for a few month’s. What we thought was a pulled muscle after many test turns out to be cancer. On May 10th we received a phone call after a biopsy was done and was told that Josh has lung cancer and needed to see a different type of cancer doctor, on May 19th we saw that doctor which told us that he has stage 4 lung cancer, cancer in his lymph nodes in his chest, which now has put pressure on his voice box causing him to lose his voice. He has to have a scan of his brain to make sure the cancer hasn’t spread there, a lung biopsy to see what type of cancer so the doctors know how to treat it and a scan on his liver because there are also lesions there. The reason for the pain in the side is because the cancer is matastised to his bones and actually split his hip bone. We will be making a lot more trips to the Markey cancer center for test, his port, his treatments and whatever else is involved. He has signed up for disability with an attorney and he is currently waiting on a decision for that. We have a 17 year old son and his mother. At the moment she is the only one working because I have to be with him for appointments and treatments. We need help and it’s an embarrassment to ask but right now we need help with gas until he gets approved for disability and then I will take this down. We don’t care if it’s a dollar, we also need prayers, many prayers and information. This family, him, his son, and his mother are the best people and would give anyone anything without question but now they need help so please help. Thank you
