This has been put on my heart by God. I couldn't support a more loving, caring person and his family than Brian, and reach out to all of you to request your support alongside mine!

 

I am fundraising for Brian Corbin, who is currently engaged in the battle of his life. Brian is a son, brother, and uncle to a few. To everyone who knows Brian and the kind of person he is, he would do absolutely anything for anyone.

 

I have known Brian since my wife and I began raising our family. My family and Brian's niece, nephews, sister, brother-in-law, along with Brian's parents, would get together on weekends for random events, birthday parties, and Sunday football during the fall and winter months. Brian was always there with a smile on his face. He was always soft-spoken, usually quiet, but always had a huge smile. He lights up a room with that smile, and you know he didn't want to be anywhere else in the world than with his family and friends.

 

Brian is a 33 year old local high school Physical Education teacher who had his whole career ahead of him. In the middle of November 2021, Brian contracted COVID-19 and was 100 percent healthy at the time of testing positive.

Within days of testing positive, Brian was admitted to a local hospital as he began experiencing respiratory distress leading to the need for him to be intubated. Brian was placed onto a ventilator, where he remained for six (6) weeks.  Afterward, there was no other option than to perform a tracheostomy to assist Brian in receiving the amount of oxygen his body needed to survive.

 

In and out of intensive care, Brian's medical conditions have required multiple surgeries, collapsed lungs, recurrent pneumonia, severe fevers, and other severe medical conditions resulting in necessary surgeries.

 

Since November, Brian has remained under urgent medical attention. He has been bed-ridden for almost 5 months now.  For Brian and his family, it has seemed as if very few things have gone right with no progress being made as one medical issue led to another, and another.

 

However, more recently, Brian has been improving at a rate where medical professionals have approved him to begin receive extensive medical rehabilitation. That, in itself, will be a long journey for Brian and his family.

 

Without a doubt, Brian's faith, along with his loved ones' and persistent following of God's word, has led him down this road and given him the strength to fight. Please join me, help spread this word, and donate to Brian's medical bills. My goal is to raise a minimum of $50,000. If raised, this amount will only put a dent in the outstanding costs. However, it is a start, and with everyone's help and support, I believe this goal will be met and surpassed.
