VITTORIA & OTTAVIA ask that their birthday guests please consider donating to this GoFundMe page meant to raise funds for a private dog shelter which focuses on the rescue and re-homing of German Shepherd Dogs (GSDs).
The girls would like to ask that the donations are made INSTEAD of birthday gifts.
This is a personal request and invitation to open your hearts and give a donation to a wonderful private dog shelter that relies 100% on private donations and funding. Our own family has rescued TWO GSDs at the end of 2024, Captain and Herz.
Captain is almost three years old. He is a pedigree GSD. He was thrown away into a dog shelter at the age of 6 months old when his owners discovered he had hip displasia. He was rescued by Antonia from Veneto and brought to the private shelter in Campagnia. He lived 2 full years in a cement cell block. He only exited 3 days a week for 1/2 hour each time. His hip displasia worsened. Captain now requires full hip replacement surgery. His surgery will happen in the Autumn of 2025 in Cremona. Signora Antonia and Dina raised over €1000 towards Captain’s surgery fees when he was brought to Campagnia. Signora Antonia found us and knew immediately Captain was meant for us. In September 2024, adopted Captain. He arrived to us at 18 kilos. Today, Captain weighs 39.5 kilos. He’s happy and a permanent member of our family.
In November 2024, we then decided to adopt Herz. Herz is 9 years old and has 75% blindness. Herz had never lived with a family prior to our adopting him. He was abandoned immediately by his breeders because he wasn’t sold as a puppy. He needs cataract surgery this summer to try to restore partial sight in one eye. Herz is a loving and chunky GSD who whistles when he wants attention. He is possessive of all things “ball-related” and adores water! He is an old boy, with a young and tender heart, and soulful eyes.
With full hearts, Vittoria and Ottavia, ask that you make a donation instead of buying them a gift. The gift for Vittoria and Ottavia is knowing that dogs like Peppe, Rambo, Kris, Wolf, Lupo, Arex, Rex and so many more will continue to remain with Signora Antonia and receive their regular medical check-ups, food, clean water, exercise and human care and affection and people who work diligently to find new homes and families who will love them as we do Captain, Herz and Lady (our three GSDs). Without donations none of this work is guaranteed or possible.
Thank you! thank you! thank you!
