Help Our Family Through This Unimaginable Time

Life can change in an instant… but for our parents, it hasn’t just been one moment—it’s been a relentless storm that hasn’t let up.

In October 2025, our family was shattered when our dad lost his mother to metastatic breast cancer. We were still grieving, still trying to process that loss, when just two weeks later—on October 26th—we were told we might lose him too. Our dad was rushed into emergency surgery for a perforated bowel. Doctors gave him less than a 30% chance to survive. We were preparing for the worst, praying for a miracle, and somehow… he made it through. But that was only the beginning of his fight.

After surgery came severe sepsis. And in the middle of that battle, we were hit with another devastating diagnosis: stage three colon cancer. Since then, it has been one complication after another. Our dad now lives with a permanent colostomy bag and made the courageous decision to start chemotherapy—despite everything his body had already been through. Because of the damage from sepsis, treatment had to be delayed until February. When it finally began, it made him incredibly sick, leading to yet another hospitalization due to extreme weakness and complications.

We have watched him fight every single day just to keep going. There have been moments we didn’t know if he would make it. Moments that felt like goodbye. Through all of this, our dad has been unable to work. After exhausting FMLA, he was forced into early retirement. We’ve applied for disability and Social Security, but like so many families know, that process takes time we simply don’t have. At the same time, our mom lost her job in September 2025 when her position was eliminated. Since then, they’ve done everything they can to survive—draining her 401(k), which is now completely gone, while still trying to keep up with mounting medical bills and everyday expenses.

And now… as his condition continues to worsen, we are at a point where we cannot do this alone anymore.

This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, but we are asking for help. If you are able to donate, share this fundraiser, or simply keep my parents in your prayers, it would mean more than we can ever put into words. No amount is too small. Every donation, every share, and every prayer helps lift some of the weight they are carrying during the hardest season of their lives.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. Thank you for loving our family, supporting my parents, and standing with us during this incredibly difficult time. ❤️
