Dear Vernon families, our amazing friend Quisha has been experiencing some medical issues for the past two months. She has spent many days in the hospital, undergone many tests and procedures, all in hopes of achieving clarity of her medical condition. We've learned that she most likely has an auto immune disorder that is impacting many organs, most notably her kidneys.

We've considered Quisha a part of our family for 8 years. She has been our main childcare provider for our son Cooper. If you live in the Vernon neighborhood, you've probably seen Quisha and Cooper, playing at Vernon Park or on the school playground. If you've met Quisha, you've most likely noticed and felt her energy and positivity! She truly is a beautiful light and so much fun to be around.

Many families have had the pleasure of meeting Quisha through We Play and the YMCA. She loves supporting all of the beautiful kiddos in our community. Quisha is one of the most hardworking people that we know, she often works 40+ hours a week serving Vernon Families.

She has tried to return to work many times however her body and her doctors are recommending that she takes a few months off so she can heal and recover.
