Please come forward to help a CUETian brother

I am A K M Monzur Morshed (age: 36), a mechanical engineer graduated from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET).

I have been suffering from an incurable disease called Highly Complex Transphincteric Anal Fistula for last four years. After three surgeries (January 2020, February 2022 and June 2022) in different hospitals of Bangladesh, the fourth and fifth surgeries were completed at Bamrungrad Hospital on 23 September 2022 and Bangkok Hospital on 01 April 2023. During the last post-surgical recovery period, re-suture was done two more times (11 April 2023 and 28 April 2023) as various physical complications related to indigestion were observed including non-improvement of the wound. I had to stay at the hospital for around one month under the observation of my surgeon which was extremely expensive, and the procedures were enormously painful. However, after partial recovery I had to come back to Bangladesh because of shortage of money and necessary leave from the department. When the condition improved slightly, the operating surgeon issued me a written certificate of travel restriction and diet restriction for six months after returning home. Since then, for the past one year I have been in regular contact with the surgeon and living according to his advice. I was feeling completely healthy till September 2024.

But unfortunately for the past two months the infection, pain and burning at the surgical site has recurred and I informed my surgeon in Bangkok hospital. He has advised me to visit him as early as possible and issued a certificate stating that re-surgery might be required. I have also visited local colorectal surgeons and after some physical examinations, they have advised to go through another surgical procedure. But I am planning to go to Bangkok hospital again to have detailed investigations to find out actual reasons of recurrence. During my previous stay in Thailand, I had to borrow ample amount of money from my friends, relatives and colleagues which I have not been able to pay yet. In addition, this time the expenses might be more than before because there will be several costly diagnoses in addition to the surgery. That’s why I will be needing financial support which is approximately 15 lacs taka.
