Hi this is Emma who joined us in April 2004 (a gift from my husband, who sadly died 6 years ago so she’s extra special).

She has helped me get through tough times with losing Steve and my breast cancer; but now it’s time for me to help her.

She’s never been unwell in those 21 years let alone needed a visit from the vet; until now.

She’s extremely lame and it was proving hard to find the source which has incurred a lot of money making her comfortable. She also has inflamed intestines which has made her lose a lot of weight so that’s another issue.

To date the vet bills have been settled but I’m now worried about paying for anymore meds as she’s on antibiotics, pain relief & steroids.

Both her & her best friend, Pixie (who came free with Emma in 2004) had enjoyed over 10 happy years in a large field but then suddenly we were ‘told’ to find alternative grazing (as a friend of the owner was moving in).

So we had to find another field quickly; and what a difference as the owner & all her staff are so caring and genuine; and helping me care for my big beautiful Irish cob, Emma.

In the event of money no longer being required I will give back to the Pet Food Bank I set up a few years ago to help local people with their pets.
