Hi, I’m Cheyenne, and I’ve started this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of my dad’s funeral.
My dad passed away suddenly on Friday, 21st February, and we’re heartbroken.
If you knew my dad, you’d know what a kind, gentle, funny, and one-of-a-kind person he was. He had a way of lighting up any room and was always the life of the party. My brother Zion and I meant everything to him—he was always talking about us. While he didn’t have much family beyond us, his long-term friends were like family to him, and he got along with everyone. He touched so many lives and was genuinely well-loved. One of the things he enjoyed most was his weekly drama group, where he built close friendships.
He was absolutely football mad. He supported Bristol City, and just an hour after he passed, the Robins kicked off against Middlesbrough—winning 2-1 in the 82nd minute. It felt so fitting. He also had a lifelong soft spot for Liverpool, and they beat Man City over the weekend, which somehow felt like another nod to him. With Liverpool likely to win the title and Bristol City pushing for the playoffs, it’s heartbreaking that he won’t be here to see it.
Thank you so much for reading this far—I’m incredibly grateful for all the love and support we’ve received. If you’re able to donate, it would mean the world.
Rest in peace, Philip Atkin.
