Greetings and Salutations!

My name is April and I created this page to help provide relief for an amazing person with a beautiful family. Dima Shankov has been diagnosed with ALL Leukemia and has endured several rounds of chemotherapy. He has a long way to go with many treatments ahead. He loves God and adores his family. The goal here is to remove the excess expenses related to this treatment from his plate, as well as allow those who feel inspired and led, to bless him and to carry some of this burden for him. If you know this family then you know they inspire and encourage those around them to walk a beautiful walk with God and he lives by example. Dima has a beautiful wife Anya and three amazing children aged 20, 12, and 3. I believe their oldest son Mark can give you some deeper insight into Dima Shankov...

If you're looking for someone who always has a smile on their face, who will bring light and joy into every place no matter the circumstance, who is diligent in all aspects of life, my dad is that person. My dad invested so much into our family and into bringing us into this country and establishing us here. He's a man of great character and an amazing father who loves his children and will go above and beyond to provide for them and further their education and life experience. He is a servant to others and a passionate leader, a strong man of God and a person of firm faith. I love my father the same as he loves us and others around him. I want to do anything I can to help and support him the way he supported me and ask that you would help support my dad and family in this difficult season. God bless you all!

Dima is originally from Belarus, and traveled to Smolensk to do missionary work, where he met his wife. He, his wife, and newly born son moved to the United States for better opportunities in life. They eventually settled here in Southern California where Dima found work in the technology industry, for which he has his degree. His wife Anya is a home school mom who works hard to take care of her beautiful family.

In the midst of adjusting to frustration of hospital stays and side effects of chemotherapy, Dima and Anya have been bombarded with challenges. A pipe burst in the kitchen creating mold issues, so remediation and construction has ensued. Anya has lost her kitchen - temporarily. A few weeks later someone hit their care in the parking lot. Sometimes when it rains… well you know the adage.

Please help to support this wonderful man and his beautiful family on this bumpy journey. Funds will mostly apply to medical related expenses and may also help with food (nutritional support), kitchen repairs, and the basic needs that feel overwhelming right now.
