Help Celebrate Jenny Marie’s Life!

Greetings!!
My name is Yazminn R., and I've launched this GoFundMe campaign to raise $20,000 to help pay for my niece's funeral and body transfer to New York.
On 8/11/22, at 11 p.m, my only niece and brother's only daughter, Jennifer Marie, was leaving her friend's residence and walking down Rowlett Park Drive around 10:30 pm, just north of Sligh Avenue, in Tampa, Florida. She went outside to get some air and cool off after an argument with her boyfriend. She put both AirPods on while walking along the dark street. Moments after that, a 2003-2005 Honda Pilot sped down the street, recklessly ran over Jennifer, and proceeded on its way. Jennifer laid there devastated, alone, and eventually breathless. She was taken to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and expired.
The pavement was littered with debris whose part numbers matched a 2003-2005 Honda Pilot, according to the police. The officers searched the area and found a wrecked car that matched the description parked in a driveway. When the cops looked more closely, they noticed that one of the victim's Bluetooth earbuds was still on the vehicle's hood. Later, Officers apprehended Arnold Perry, 63, who, according to them, was driving at the time of the accident.
You can check out the whole incident here .
Jennifer was on the verge of finally moving into her first college experience at Florida A&M University, her aunt's alma school, to begin her new path toward a nursing profession, just like her aunt. The move was scheduled to take place in just one week after the accident. Jennifer attended Henry B. Plant High School in the past and had such a promising future. She was such a kind and generous spirit and an innocent and pure soul. Jennifer couldn't wait to begin her new life as an independent young woman and loved meeting new people. She was so excited to start her new life.
It's only been five months since she turned 18, and it's only been three months since she graduated from high school. She was intelligent and consistently placed among the brightest students in her class. She was a lovely, gregarious, and outgoing little social butterfly, obsessed with her passion for dancing and creating TikToks. This has been an unexpected and dishearteningly terrible loss for all of us.
Jennifer Marie was daughter of a US Veteran father and a hard-working Haitian mother. You can imagine how devastating it will be for my brother's family to experience the abrupt loss of his young daughter, and only child. Since we are all aware of how costly funerals can be, I am reaching out to you all and requesting your assistance with the burial and transportation of her body to New York. With this, I also want to reach out to people and spread awareness as people should take caution when walking in dark or busy areas with both AirPods in their ears and to avoid going outside at night unless the area is brightly lit.
My brother and our family is devastated by Jennifer's demise and is abruptly gathering the finances necessary to bring her body to New York and have the best celebration on life we know she would have wanted. Please join me in contributing what you can to assist his family and give her a dignified funeral. No matter how big or small, your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Please share this campaign with your family and friends even if you cannot donate.

HELPFUL MESSAGES:
1. DO stop and call 911 if you are in your car or someone is injured.
2. DON'T wait to call the police or your insurance company to file a police report or an accident claim. The official accident report will help police look for the missing driver and will be useful when you file your accident claim.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
God bless you!
