Gall Bladder Removal, Cancer Diagnosis, followed by a Home Fire with One Injured, Dog Deceased, Two Families Displaced
2024 has been one devastating challenge after another for Trisha Smith. During the month of July, she went to the doctor with breathing, chest pains, and overall body ailments. After being seen, the doctor indicated that she had one collapsed lung, pneumonia, lymph node issues, and right foot and toe numbness. Tests revealed she also needed gall bladder removal. At the time of surgery, the doctor did a biopsy on her chest and found cancer. By September, they diagnosed full cancer, and she started outpatient radiation, chemo, and local treatments, rendering her unable to work and earn any income. Unable to qualify for insurance or disability, she was barely coping to survive. This past Thursday brought more misery when a fire broke out in her apartment. She awoke to the fire, which quickly consumed her apartment at about 7:30. Those in the apartments had all they could do to get out before the fire engulfed everything. The fire department was called and was able to put out the fire, but not before it was a total loss, including her trusty and loving watchdog, Thunder.
We are cordially asking for help as Trisha needs to completely start over - clothes, bedding, furniture, utensils, food. For those that are inclined, please pray for relief.
