Please Aid this Young Greek Boy Achieve his Dreams

Hello, my name is Irene but I am making this plea for help for a friend. His name is Dimitri Kyridis and he recently moved here from Thessaloniki, Greece. After having excelled in Thessaloniki, Dimitri was among the very few students selected to come to the United States with a scholarship in academics. He chose to move here without any family to attend Barton College in North Carolina as a biology student with a concentration in cellular. The reason he chose Barton College was due to the generous High Honors Academic Scholarship that was provided to him by the institution, plus another scholarship offered to him for his position on the men’s volleyball team. He is now in his second year having accomplished an impressive 3.91 GPA but is in dire need for aid.
Dimitri comes from a single parent household, in which his mother cares for him and his two sisters. Recently though, his mother was diagnosed with cancer which has prevented her from working. She is no longer employed. Instead, his two younger sisters, ages 20 and 18, have been working in Greece to help pay bills such as the rent, and utilities. Even with this all their saving are depleting due to his mother’s expensive but necessary medical bills. His family is struggling themselves, but his mother’s desire is just for her son to be able to continue following his dreams.
We are solely asking for help to help him complete his second year. His balance with the university is exactly $10, 820, in which half of that MUST be paid within 10 days otherwise he will not only loose his position on the team, but his current and future registrations at the college will be canceled. He is a very well-rounded individual that deserves to continue to live out his dream. He has a 3.9 GPA in BIOLOGY as an INTERNATIONAL STUDENT in a college that is away from everything he has known.
It would be a shame from him to loose his opportunity for success due to a situation in which he or his family cannot change. Also, because of his prominent position on the volleyball team, he will be receiving a full scholarship for the rest of his time at the college. ALL WE ARE ASKING IS HELP TO PAY THE REST OF HIS TUITION BILL FOR THIS SEMESTER!
