My friend was with his brother when a man tried to stab his brother after an argument. My friend jumped in between them, grabbed the man’s wrist, and they got into a struggle. They ended up on the ground, and my friend lost control of his wrist. The man started stabbing my friend in the back and, as you can see from the photos, got him deep. The blade struck one of his spinal vertebrae, then sliced across his back. He was less than an inch from being paralyzed or, worse, killed. He was very lucky to survive, and all he was doing was protecting his brother.

Now, my friend needs help. He missed a lot of work and is in serious pain. I’m trying to raise money for him to help cover his lost expenses from work to help pay his rent. Also, his medical expenses from the ambulance ride to the ER visit are very expensive, and he has very bad insurance. I would also like for some of the money to go to a good therapist because this has been very traumatic for him, and he is having a hard time tackling the mental burden this has taken on him. Please, anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated so my friend can try and get back to normal life.
