Pleasant Peninsula: Art & Activism Fair!
Donation protected
Join us in celebrating Michigan's biodiversity! On September 18th, Rosa Parks Circle will be transformed into an interactive art & activism fair featuring a variety of local nature preserves, animal conservancies, parks departments, environmental organizations, and Michigan artists. While guests wander between info booths and activity stations, the Rosa Parks Stage will be activated by speakers, musicians, animal ambassadors, and demonstrations. The event will culminate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to dedicate a newly-installed mural!
The event's goal is to raise awareness of Grand Rapids' natural resources and environmental organizations. We hope to: cover event costs, print resource and advertising materials, create a digital directory of local parks and nature preserves, complete a 1,500 foot mural, pay event organizers, compensate local musicians, launch a digital field guide of Michigan wildlife, and more.
