Plaza Theatre Needs You

Remember when it cost 22 cents to see a movie on the big screen? Remember when friends and families gathered to eat popcorn and see the latest release? Remember when the Plaza Theatre was open?

The Plaza Theatre opened in 1919 and had to close its doors in 1968. Nearly 50 years later, the Plaza Theatre is being reborn and will open its doors for many more generations to enjoy classic films.

What is a "classic" film? Some might say Casablanca; some might say Rocky Horror Picture Show; some might even say A Christmas Story.  The Plaza Theatre will feature a variety of generational favorites with an amazing experience.

Nearly $200,000 has been pledged so far.  We need your support to reach the final amount needed to open the doors.  This is a community, grass-roots project where every dollar counts towards making this a reality.  All donations are tax-deductible through the non-profit organization Downtown Miamisburg, Inc.
