PTA BROCKHOLES WOOD
Prior to Covid-19 Brockholes Wood school have had limited playtime equipment for children to use throughout the school which was free to be used by all of the children in the school.
Schools can't fund non-statutory equipment as it is not essential to a child's learning. There fore the school is unable to fund equipment beyond what they have!
Since returning to school in September primary school children have been seriously affected by Covid-19 measures within schools and children are assigned to their class bubble! Class bubbles mean that children eat, learn and play together.
Class bubbles cannot share anything with another class bubble unless it has been cleaned and quarantined for 3 days! This seriously affects children when it comes to playtime as they are unable to share the limited play equipment which the school has. For example prior to covid-19 the school may have has 28 hula hoops and 7 footballs for any child to use at playtime, with the new covid-19 measure this means that each class bubble has 4 hula hoops and 1 football between a class bubble of 35 children.
We are aiming for £350 as this is £50 per each class to spend specifically on playground equipment, It will help every single pupil in the school that 258 pupils you will be helping!
Brockholes wood PTA are attempting to raise funds to buy play equipment for each class bubble, so that the primary school children can enjoy their free time.
We understand that the world is a hard place at the moment and ask that you give anything you possibly can in order to help our children.
In these uncertain times we just want our children to be allowed to be children and have items they can play with!
Please please help we appreciate all you help and support of the PTA, we can assure you anything you do give WILL go straight to the children and will provide photographs of any equipment we buy!
