At approximately 5:00 AM on May 22, the playground at Guiding Minds Montessori was broken into and the children’s wooden play structure was stolen.

This wasn’t just theft from a school.

It was theft from children and from a community that cares deeply about them.

The play structure was a special part of the children’s day-to-day lives — a place where they played, learned, built confidence, used their imaginations, and simply got to be kids.

While this has been heartbreaking for our school community, our spirit is not broken.

Guiding Minds Montessori has always been a place rooted in care, connection, and community. We believe in teaching children resilience, kindness, and compassion, and we are choosing to move forward by rebuilding a space our children deserve.

We are raising funds to replace the stolen play structure as quickly as possible so the children can continue enjoying a safe and joyful outdoor environment this summer. Funds raised will also help improve security measures for the school moving forward.
