Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of NHS Charities Together /Association of NHS Charities and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
My name is Alexander Johnston and I am 99 years-old. I served my country in the Royal Navy during WWII.
I play the harmonica for family and friends and would like to play it for you to help raise funds for the NHS and their incredible work, helping to protect us and saving lives during the Covid-19 crisis.
I bought my first harmonic in Belfast in 1934 and my second in Piraeus, Greece, in 1942. I spent my war years crossing the globe: the North Atlantic Convoys;
Mediterranean and North and South America.
I plan to take requests for songs and will post a list so you can choose your favorite song, here are a few to choose from for now:
Danny Boy; Moonlight and Roses; Abide with me; When Irish Eyes are Smiling; A long way to Tipperary; I Believe; Fields of Athenry.
