Playful Again Burningman 2023

Please join our effort by contributing financially to the magical world of play on the desert of the Burningman playa.

Playful Again is a large-scale art installation coming to Burning Man 2023. It's an invitation to reconnect to the childlike joy and wonder that comes from the pure act of play.

The Story:

As children we explore our lives through the whimsical and romantic world of play. This is central to our ability to use our hands, interact with, and learn to live in the world.

Life was magical when we were at play; we could create anything; we found solace in stories that had the power to magically transport. Our playtime was poignant and real. To play is at the core of being human. It's a form of Radical Self-Expression, and something we do for its own sake, rather than because it achieves something else.

Unfortunately, as adults we have limited time for play. We forget to be ourselves. We forget our innocence and lose the practice of seeing life without filters. We lose our connection to joy and live with the fear of expectations and criticism.

Life becomes full of judgment and consequences.

Playful Again is about letting go. One wanders into this phantasmagorical wonderland and lets oneself give in to childlike wonder. It's an invitation to reclaim our birthright of joy.
