PlayBack Media Festival

At the end of Semester 1, our studio hosts a media festival celebrating the work of RMIT Bachelor of Communication (Media) students. Now in its second year, the festival had its first rendition as And Scene at The Capitol Theatre, bringing together students, families, friends, RMIT alumni, faculty, and industry professionals.

Our festival is community funded and guided by Cerise Howard (co-curator at the Melbourne Cinémathèque and former Program Director of MQFF).

Funds raised will help cover key costs such as venue hire, operations, and essential overheads like our website and email service. Every contribution helps make this celebration of RMIT’s emerging media talent possible.
