Empowering Special Needs Kids Through Play Therapy

Embarking on a mission close to my heart, I am thrilled to share a transformative initiative aimed at bringing play therapy education to special needs kids in Delhi, India, with the vision to expand nationwide. Drawing inspiration from successful practices in the USA, where my passion for this cause ignited through my own experiences raising an 8-year-old son diagnosed with autism at the age of 2.

The heart of my campaign is to establish a therapy center in Delhi providing occupational, speech, and behavioral therapies, with a commitment to making these essential services accessible to all, regardless of financial constraints. Our unique approach involves the implementation of play-based therapy, recognizing the profound impact it can have on a child's development.

Looking beyond Delhi, our long-term goal is to extend this initiative across the entire country, ensuring that every special needs child in India has access to quality therapy services. To achieve this, we need your support to hire skilled therapists, create a nurturing environment, and provide free therapies for those who cannot afford them.

At the core of this endeavor is my collaboration with the dedicated therapist, Rajiv Poonia. Rajiv not only embodies compassion, empathy, and kindness but is also committed to providing free in-home services for children in need. Through this fundraiser, I aim to amplify Rajiv's impact by supporting him in establishing a therapy center that aligns with my shared belief in the effectiveness of play-based therapy.

By incorporating play into his intervention, such as visits to children's museums and engaging in group play, I've observed remarkable progress.
