Play Cafe, a dream becomes a vision

Hello! My name is Becky and I, alongside my daughters, am opening a Play Cafe. What does this mean? A "Play Cafe" will provide adults with a grown-up experience where they can sit back, relax, chat with friends, and caffeinate while watching their children explore our child sized, lifelike town. Step into our vet clinic and help make the pets feel better, stroll into our grocery store and stock up on healthy snacks, take a trip to the fire station, police station and when you need a bite to eat, your youngsters can bake their own (pretend) pizza pie! Children will be encouraged to learn, play, explore, and develop friendships in our safe, clean, welcoming, and inclusive environment. I pride myself on being able to create developmentally appropriate activities and environments that encourage creativity while recognizing the importance of having a beautiful, comfortable, and esthetically pleasing space for adults to enjoy too. I can appreciate the need for parents to feel relaxed while their littles play, and though we will not provide supervision, we will have onsite staff in the play area. We will also implement a "kid check" policy to provide an extra level of safety and comfort.

In our home, coffee is our love language, and we speak it often. Tell me, what could be better than a delicious iced coffee or steamy latte? Enjoying it with a treat of course! Our "Play Cafe" will have a variety of sweets and pastries to enjoy. If you have no littles to bring with you, don't fret. You are still welcome to enjoy the experience, fall in love with our coffee and treats, and shop our amazing gift shop.

We will offer party packages, field trips, co-op hours, lunch and learns for early childhood educators, sensory friendly hours, and so much more!

We are implementing a business plan to bring all of these elements together in one amazing and creative space. We hope you are as excited as we are to have a "Play Cafe" in the state line area.
