Just a few weeks ago, I was diagnosed with a trifecta of serious illnesses: leptospirosis, Rhabdomyolysis, and Welis disease. These diagnoses came as a shock, and the road to recovery has proven to be an arduous one. For the past fourteen days, I have been fighting for my life in the ICU, battling these conditions that have left me unable to walk , caused serve bleeding of my lungs, liver failure , and severe breakdown of my muscle tissues that has caused not to even stand on my own.

For nearly a decade, I have dedicated myself to serving the 'aina of Hawaii and being a positive force within our community. I've had the honor of standing alongside you all, working together to create a better place for ourselves and future generations. Now, as I face these unexpected health challenges, I am reminded of the strength that comes from unity and support.

However, I cannot deny that the financial burden of this medical journey has been overwhelming. The mounting medical bills are a source of stress that I wish I didn't have to carry during a time when my focus should be solely on healing.
