My name is Alicia Uhl, certified Plant-Based Holistic Health Coach and founder of Plantie , and I am setting up this gofundme campaign to ask for your help in making my dreams come true - the launch of my very own line of organic plant-based smoothies: Plantie Potions!
Why am I doing this?
I'm a "plant based foodie" (aka plantie) focused on healthy living through simple, fresh and delicious plant based meals, smoothies and juices.
Some people call me the Physical Health Alchemist - I am the woman who turns lead health into gold.
When I was 20 years old I lost my father to Stage IV Lung Cancer. Watching him go through that horrible disease is why Plantie was born.
From that day forward, I started my plantie mission to get further upstream with nutrition to help prevent and reverse disease through fresh, clean, whole plant-based foods.
Why a Smoothie Line?
As a plant-based holistic health coach with 10 years of experience and passion for healthy living and cooking, I wanted to create a simple solution for eating healthy on the go, by providing fast and convenient healthier food alternatives.
Americans are increasingly waking up to the country’s obesity epidemic and are searching for solutions. One of the best solutions is for Americans to make healthier choices when they eat out. Specifically, they are seeking healthy foods that are fast and convenient.
Smoothies are quick, portable, convenient and delicious — so they offer all the advantages of a fast food meal without the disadvantage of wrecking your health.
Unfortunately many smoothies out in the market are laden with sugar and promoting deceptive health benefits. The average American adult consumes about 22 tsp of sugar daily, with a large amount of that coming from the beverage industry.
What are Plantie Potions?
Plantie Potions are 100% raw, organic, smoothie blends containing only the good stuff: fresh fruit, vegetables and water. Ingredients you can read, and ingredients you can trust.
How are they different?
I do not add any additional sugar or preservatives, which is why my potions are delivered frozen, to preserve the nutritional value and freshness that you expect and deserve.
My blends are made locally with love and care, and they cost only a little more than the sugar, fruit concentrate and puree laden smoothies sold in stores.
Plantie Potions are high-quality and professionally crafted blends with the convenience of being able to buy in bulk.

How does it work?
All of my Plantie Potions are frozen immediately after blending to help preserve the nutritive value and freshness of the smoothie until you are ready to drink it. Simply store your potions in the freezer and then defrost one at a time as you are ready to drink them.
Plantie Potions are designed to buy in bulk, so if you've always aspired to drink a fresh organic smoothie every day, now you can! I will be offering Plantie Potions in packages of 7 or 14 smoothies, so you can pick the quantity that best serves you. Whether you want to drink a potion every single day, or just once in a while, I have a package that will fit your needs.
Why am I so passionate?
In honor of my father, I've made it my mission to help as many people heal their bodies as possible, using food as medicine to help prevent and reverse many of the chronic diseases we have today.
I get so much joy seeing the transformation of my clients and I believe strongly that fast and convenient healthy food alternatives should be available to everyone.
In order to launch my Plantie Potion smoothie line, I am asking for $15,000. The funds will be used to cover the cost of my manufacturing facility, equipment, packaging, labeling, marketing and distribution.
My goal is to have the project fully funded by January 10th for a launch date of January 11, 2017.
For every $50 that is donated to help me reach my goal, I will be giving back 1 free Plantie Potion.
