Zhanshuo (Jason) Zhang will be hosting a solo piano benefit recital on Februrary 26th, 2022, 5PM at Steinway's Gallery (743 Congaree Rd suite a, Greenville, SC 29607), or the live stream at the very bottom of this message. This recital is partnered with The Apple Tree Foundation and Project HOPE Foundation.

Zhanshuo Zhang, 16, is a sophomore at Riverside High School in Greer, SC. Zhanshuo began his piano studies at the age of four. He has won numerous awards in China. He received the honor to participate in the finals of the 2012 Imola International Piano Competition hosted in Italy. He was the 2017 Second Lang Lang Peace Cup Piano Competition 2nd prize winner (no 1st prize awarded) and had the honor to participate in a masterclass with Lang Lang. After immigrating to the United States, in spring 2018, he won the Laurence Hamilton Morton Piano Scholarship. Studying under Mrs. Won Jung Kiser, In 2021, he won in numerous competitions in America. He was the 1st Place winner for GMTA. 1st Place winner for SCMTA. 1st Place winner of 2021 Mu Pi Talent Hunt. Zhanshuo was also featured in NPR's From The Top - Show 404. He is also a Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist (only around 20 pre-collegiate musicians receive each year). Zhanshuo also enjoys doing taekwondo, solving Rubik’s cubes, and participating in Student Council and Speech and Debate clubs. He is thrilled to share his stories and musics with you today.
