My name is Frank, and I am reaching out during one of the most difficult times in my life. Sadly, my father was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer, and it has progressed very quickly.

My father immigrated to Canada from Portugal many years ago, determined to build a better future for our family. He worked tirelessly his entire life, always putting others first and making countless of sacrifices so that we could have the opportunities he never had. In recent years, he was able to retire and finally spend more time with those he loved most – his wife, children and grandchildren.

I am focusing on making the most of the time we have left together, surrounding him with love, comfort, and family. However, as we prepare for what is to come, we are also faced with the reality of funeral expenses. Therefore, this fundraiser has been created to help relieve some of that financial burden, so that we can honour my father’s life and give him the farewell he deserves.
