Planning Ahead for Jody Hall
Jody Hall is a graduate of Hilliard High School class of 1996. She and her life partner Vance have been together for 10 years, living on the south end and the west side of Columbus. Jody has had one thing after another happen to her and she just can’t catch a break. While undergoing tests to move forward with yet another back surgery, it was discovered that she has cancer. The doctors are pretty sure it started as lung cancer but has quickly metastasized throughout her body, including to her bones and her brain. Jody has been given 6 months to a year to live and has declined rapidly over the last few weeks.
One of Jody’s biggest fears is leaving her children and her partner Vance with the debt of a funeral. No one in their last days on earth should be worried about what their family will do with them once they die. She does not want to be cremated , even though we’ve joked that she would have a smoking hot body that way.
As Jody’s friends, we are asking for your help. We want to be able to take the burden of funeral costs and planning from her so that she can spend time with her loved ones without that worry. We wish we were in a place where we could just take care of it- but that’s the great thing about friends. Together we can pool our resources and make this happen.
So...
