Please Help Jill with Her Medical Expenses

Donation protected

UPDATE 2/20/24
Today, Jill found out she needs a surgery to place a stent in a bile duct in her pancreas. She will also be getting a feeding tube surgically implanted directly into her stomach. Once she has the surgery, there will be a period of recovery and then she will have a gastric emptying study. Jill has been out of work for almost a month now. She will be out longer. She can not return to work until she recovers from her surgery. At this point, the doctors don't know if the g tube will be permanent or not. We really could use extra prayers, positive thoughts, encouraging words, donations and if people can please share. Jill still has a long road ahead of her and I would like to help get her as much support as possible. Thank you!

UPDATE: Jill hasn't been able to work since Jan 27th, 3 weeks ago. She still isn't able to tolerate solid foods without getting sick. The GI doctor managing her feeding tube and further testing has no available appointments until March. Jill is on the wait list for a sooner appointment. Jill needs to be able to eat without throwing up to remove the feeding tube. Jill needs the feeding tube removed to return to work. Jill needs the pancreatitis to resolve in order to do testing to see what can be done about the defect in her pancreas and the gastropareasis. She is going through so much. Please continue to share, donate and keep Jill and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who has donated! We are at about a fifth of our goal and still have a ways to go. Jill is now on tube feeds at home. She still can not eat on her own and it will be a while before she is able to even try consuming solid food by mouth. Her throat is very sore from the Corpak feeding tube. This also makes it very difficult to swallow pills and talk with the tubes in her throat. As long as she has this feeding tube placed, she can not return to work, and at this point, we still don't know when she will be able to. No further testing can be done until the pancreatitis is under control, so for now, Jill is resting the pancreas. Please continue to pray for Jill and her family. Please continue to share this in hopes of us gaining more support for Jill. Thank you!

UPDATE: After 11 days in the hospital and much testing, Jill was released yesterday and now is starting step one of her recovery and healing at home. She still has a long way to go and will not be able to work through this first stage of healing. Jill still has the feeding tube placed and can not return to work until she is able to eat on her own. The doctors don't know exactly how long it will take for the pancreas to calm down. At this point, once the pancreatitis is under control, Jill will undergo further testing to see how they will correct the pancreas divisum and gastropareasis. Jill has a long road ahead and we are asking for continued prayers. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and shared. Please continue to share this. Thank you!

UPDATE: Today, Jill was diagnosed with gastropareasis and pancreas divitism, in addition to pancreatitis. While it is great to have a diagnosis, this is not a quick fix. Before the gastropareasis and pancreas divitism can be addressed, the pancreatitis has to calm down. Once the pancreatitis is under control, further testing can be done to determine how to correct the pancreas divitism and gastropareasis. Once Jill can tolerate the tube feedings better, she will then be able to be discharged to recover through the pancreatitis at home. This is the beginning of the healing process after 8 days of tests to diagnose her. Please keep sharing this and please keep Jill and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and shared. Jill is very appreciative of the support!

Hi. My name is Tammy and I am raising money to help my friend, Jill Corrigan, with her medical bills and lost wages during this difficult and long hospital stay. Jill isn't one to normally share her struggles. However, she has been very sick and in the hospital for over a week now, after multiple ER visits with doctors unsure of what is causing her severe pancreatitis. At this point, Jill has a Corpak feeding tube and no discharge date in sight. With the average cost of $3000 a day in the hospital, and all the tests Jill has had done, the expenses are adding up quickly. I would like to show support for my friend during this illness to help her ease the burden of her medical bills and lost wages so she can focus solely on her health and recovery. Please give if you can and please share. Most of all, please keep Jill and her family in your thoughts and prayers as she navigates this serious health battle.
