Anyone who knows Judy Bies knows that she is the most kindhearted, carefree person who would give you the shirt off of her back. If she saw that you were in need, she'd offer a lending hand. Now, Judy is in need of our lending hand.
As many of you know, she has been very ill since October, in and out of the hospital for lengthy stays so many times you almost need three hands to count the number of times. These alone have cost her a substantial amount of money out of her own pocket. She has cysts that have been growing causing severe pancreatitis. She has had three surgeries so far, with one more on the agenda. She will undergo the Whipple procedure which involves removal of the "head" of the pancreas next to the first part of the small intestine (duodenum). It also involves removal of the duodenum, a portion of the common bile duct, and possibly part of the stomach. Afterward, surgeons reconnect the remaining intestine, bile duct, and pancreas.
She has been on a liquid diet since January, more recently being fed through a Pic line. She has lost a substantial amount of weight. This has not only left her in severe pain both physically and emotionally, but it's also become a financial burden. She has not been able to work since November, and has been on long term disability. Her insurance has now changed to Cobra which she has to pay out of pocket for. She has copays to pay for visiting nurses and for the feedings that she has to have. She needs our help. Her bills are adding up and her income has significantly decreased.
Please consider making a donation to help Judy have one less thing to worry about so that she can focus on getting herself better again. Thank you so much for your help.
