Hey Family!
I have decided to make this gofundme in order to raise money for my summer expenses while I am taking a class at the University of Pittsburgh. I am studying Anthropology with two minors (Chemistry and soon to be Swahili), three certificates (Conceptual Foundations of Medicine, Global Studies: Global Health, and African Studies) all on the Pre-Medical Studies track. In my senior year, I will be taking a heavy load due to all of my areas of study, and that’s why I decided to lighten to load by taking one of my hardest classes, Organic Chemistry 2, during the summer. However, it seems that unforeseen circumstances during this past semester and summer have put me in a financial hole for the summer. Unfortunately, my financial aid does not cover my summer expenses, therefore I have to pay out of pocket for the summer semester.
I was not able to work as much as planned during the spring semester, and though I have just been hired at UPMC, one of the top hospitals in the country, I will not begin working until the end of the summer. This fundraiser is being done in order to assist with my rent, utilities, food, and books for the month of July and August, so that I can focus on achieving in Organic Chemistry 2 without worry.
The goal is to have the money before August 1st, 2018 and any amount donated would mean the world to me and is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
