NATIONAL STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

Hello! My name is Fiorella Samaniego, I am 15 years old, currently in my sophomore year of high school with a passion for psychology.

The purpose of this GoFundMe is to assist with the cost of the NATIONAL STUDENT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE. The trip will be held in San Francisco at the University of California, Berkeley. The journey will allow me to compare brain scans, dissect brain tissues, and study fMRI, CT, and EEG scans to see the difference between standard and abnormal findings. I will be able to attend human behavior workshops and analyze how environmental factors and genetics inform everyday interactions. In addition, I will learn to diagnose/ treat psychological disorders and undergo clinical diagnostic simulations. During the nine-day excursion, I will be taken to the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and The Exploratorium to get additional hands-on experience.

This trip is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I am incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to be invited to such an incredible event. This trip would not only advance me further to my dreams of a psychology career but will also give me the advantage to be able to be accepted into Berkeley as after the tour I would be given a letter of recommendation. This is a very costly expedition, averaging a total of $7,000. This would be no empty fundraiser as I will come out of this trip with a vast amount of new knowledge, memories, and academic relationships. To any who donates, thank you.
