My Journey with Colon Cancer
Hi everyone, I never imagined I’d be writing something like this. Life has a way of throwing us curveballs, and recently, mine came in the form of a stage three colon cancer diagnosis.
It was completely out of the blue — one of those moments that stops you in your tracks and changes everything. Since that day, things have moved fast. I’ve had surgery and now live with a colostomy bag! It’s something I’m still learning to adjust to.
It’s been humbling and, at times, overwhelming. But I’ve made a promise to myself to stay positive, to find gratitude in each day, and to focus on healing. No matter how tough things get, I still believe that light shines through even the darkest moments.
Right now, I’m unable to work, and the medical bills and everyday expenses are starting to pile up. I’ve always been someone who takes pride in working hard and taking care of myself, so asking for help doesn’t come easy. But I’ve realized that sometimes, letting others lift you up is part of the fight, too.
This GoFundMe has been set up to help with medical costs, recovery expenses, and the basic day-to-day things that don’t stop, even when life does. Every donation — no matter the size — will make a difference and help ease some of the financial weight while I focus on getting well. To everyone who donates, shares, prays, or simply sends kind words — thank you.
Your support means more to me than I could ever put into words. I’m beyond grateful for the love, encouragement, and faith so many have shown me already!! I’m taking this journey one step, one day, and one blessing at a time.
Thank you for walking beside me
With love and gratitude, Bobby
