Help me help my Father
Donation protected
First, I’d like to thank everyone for your prayers, overwhelming kindness, love, support, and generosity. We are truly touched and words can’t express our gratitude. My name is Ariana Couture and my Dad, David Luttrell, has been diagnosed with high grade stage 4 Giloma brain cancer. It is not curable. Without radiation and chemotherapy, he has an estimated 2 months left with us. With chemotherapy and radiation, it could prolong his life up to 1 year at most. He is no longer allowed to live on his own, work, or drive. I am working with the insurance company to have him transferred to a rehab facility to get him to the maximum health he can be at before starting Chemo and radiation. After rehab, I have the very difficult task of finding a living facility that can medically care for him 24/7. The realization that we have less than a year left together is a very difficult and heavy reality for all of us. All of your help is *greatly* appreciated. Even with my father’s insurance, the cost of medical treatments and his care is staggering. Help is needed to provide a multitude of things including but not limited to: housing, food, and out of pocket expenses including deductibles, medications, hospital stay, assisted living facility, and future hospice care.
If you are unable to donate financially, prayers, medical, and legal advice are also equally appreciated. I am in unfamiliar territory with medical and legal jargon and greatly in need of advice and assistance. (Quite frankly, I am overwhelmed).
There are SO many complicated feelings, thoughts, and emotions that go along with his diagnosis. Anger, fear, sadness, confusion, denial, hope, love, and faith to name a few. However, I understand that there are two outcomes: Either we are blessed with more time with this incredible and amazing man, or I know that his spirit will spend eternity in peace and love with Christ. I will be able to see him again with God, but without the pain, sickness, and physical limitations that his body has here on earth.
For those who would like to join me in prayer: God, lord our father, thank you for blessing us with David. He brings so much happiness, love, laughter, and light to so many people. Please give him peace knowing that you are with him in every thought, every word spoken, and every step taken. Please hold him, give him comfort, and give him strength, hope, and faith. Please heal his body, mind, heart, soul, and spirit. Thank you for helping me navigate through these extremely difficult feelings and circumstances. Please help me give him the best quality of life possible for as long as we are blessed to have him with us. Thank you, God our father, for bringing so many incredible, kind, loving, and generous people of light and love into our lives. Thank you for reminding us that we are not alone; and we are surrounded with prayer and love. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
