A message from Lollie:
“Character is how you treat those who can do nothing for you...” This phrase describes the essence of who Pamela is, was, and will forever be remembered. Even as she lies in bed, unable to care for herself, her character brings those she has affected to her side. Pamela has touched so many lives—as a phlebotomist, a policewoman, a coach, a teammate, a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend... Her condition continues to worsen, unfortunately. 3 months ago she was able to nod, wink, even tap her fingers to communicate —but now she can’t even do that. She has declined considerably, and will continue to do so as each day passes. Hospice continues to assist with her care. They increased her pain medicine to address severe pain—a side effect of uncontrollable muscle spasms and overactive nerves. ALS is an aggressive, devastating, and relentless disease. It doesn’t care if you’re a good person, a young mother, or even if you have unfinished business. Pamela was all those things! Her children will be so sad without her—so will all of her family—and so will I... Please take a moment out of your day and pray for her...or call or visit her. I know it means the world to her. God bless you!
