David, Kate, Mienna and Liam are a wonderful family going through one of the toughest battles anyone ever has to face.

I've set this up in the hope that we can all come together to try and help financially to give them one less burden.

In July 2022, dave was diagnosed with melanoma when a mole on his arm changed shape, unfortunately it had gone into lymph nodes of the arm pit. So an operation was had to remove all the lymph nodes in the right arm pit. Cancer free was declared and after some physio Dave was all good and back at work. Then in 2023 we found more spots in lymph nodes and organs, target treatment occurred this time with lots of side effects and in september 2023 again Dave was declared cancer free. Routine checks , petscans, etc were then had.

In March 2024 Dave had a petscan and the devastating news came that Dave had 2 melanoma spots on the Brain. The fight was starting again.

March started with immunotherapy that unfortunately put Dave into liver failure, so was stopped.

In April radiation started but we found out that his spots are radiation resistant as they doubled in size instead of shrinking.

So next was talking to neurosurgeon, who has said it's risky to operate due to where they are situated in the brain, so back on target treatment and further radiation.

We are living with hope but have also been told to prepare for the worst. Dave won't give up fighting as we have a 7 and 16 year old to think about.

Each day consists of medical appointments, medication regularly, rest, sleep, and making as many memories for kids as possible.

The team of specialists Dave have through Barwon Health are amazing, and as a team we just keep fighting.
