On March 27th Mike Thurston, the father of my two best friends, Liz and Jackie Thurston (who are more like sisters to me than anything) suffered a severe stroke.

After spending over two weeks in the ICU, Mike was recently moved into hospice.

I have spent the past 22+ years being apart of this family and loving them like my own. I have been accepted by them with arms wide open and Mike was big for that as well. He welcomed me into his home for years and dealt with mine and his daughter’s shenanigans without many complaints each time. Mikes loss will not only be a huge impact on his family and myself, but also for anyone who ever knew him and took the time to be around him. In my opinion, the community is losing one of the kindest, most selfless individuals I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, and if you do know him, you’d agree!

Unfortunately, there are not many funds readily available to pay for funeral costs.

I am reaching out to our community of close friends and family and asking that you please consider helping with even a small donation. I am trying to help take as much off from the shoulders of his two amazing and loving daughters who haven’t left his side through these last few weeks in anyway possible.
