Shannon Hanna II is a Division 1 Wrestler and graduate student in Buies Creek, North Carolina. He is a 2 time NCAA qualifier and Southern Conference champion at 141 pounds for 2022/23 . His wrestling career began in Lakeland, Florida, where after only taking on wrestling for 3 years he emerged as a Florida state champion his senior year of high school. After graduating high school, he continued his wrestling career at Old Dominion University before transferring to Campbell University in 2020. Shannon has now qualified for a spot on the Bahamas world team and plans on making his way to the Summer 2024 Olympics in Paris, France. The Bahamas has its best chance of qualifying for an Olympic spot in Wrestling for the first time since 1968. A Bahamian wrestler has not made an appearance in the Olympic Games since they were held in Mexico City. But Shannon has the chance to make history with an Olympic berth. Please help support Shannon and his coach with traveling and tournament costs for the PanAmerican games located in Acapulco, Mexico where Shannon will wrestle to Qualify his spot in the 2024 Olympics!
