Service Animal
I am a Marine Veteran who is disabled. I am an amputee above the right knee, as you can see by my picture, and on a fixed income. I am hoping to get a Maine Coon Cat kitten by my birthday on 1/25 to eventually be trained as a service animal and as a comfort animal as well.
I have tried to Adopt but have been heavily discriminated against because of not only my disability, but my Fixed income status as well. I am pretty much home bound and alone most of the time and a pet would be very conducive to my mental and physical stability. I have many physical ailments which caused this amputation and having a pet would greatly improve my ability to deal with these problems. I have had pets before, dogs All my life and 2 cats a while back. I have a cat house and other things to begin my having a cat now. I have checked into breeders and most start at $1000 to buy. Any extra moneys would be put totally toward making him comfortable and welcome in my apartment. ie Putting up shelving and making him a trail above ground and towards toys and food. This would greatly help me through this challenge and Maine Coons are in the top 3 cats that make good service animals.
I greatly appreciate your help with this birthday wish. I have never really asked for help in anything, but now, my disability hinders me and I am humbly asking to help me achieve my goals with all the humility and gratitude I have. Thank you very much and Godspeed to you and yours.
Sincerely,
Charles Springer
