Miracle for Hector Verdugo
Donation protected
Hector Andrés was born with neurofimbromatosis type 1. Being the youngest of his family, he is currently twenty years old. He has been diagnosed with a malignant tumor in the peripheral nerve sheath with irrevocable progression. Hector has had many surgeries due to complications that have presented themselves. These complications have prevented him from starting treatment with chemotherapy or radiation.
In June of 2021, a malignant tumor was detected in his neck and mediastinum ganglia which quickly grew. This shifted his trachea and pressed on vital arteries. In October of 2021 the doctors were able to perform a major surgery which successfully removed the existing tumor. One month later, new growth was detected in the same area. This new tumor grew rapidly and aggressively. Shifting his trachea, this tumor disabled him from breathing or eating properly. At that time his best option was radiation, which would have started December 29th 2021; however, due to complications it was unable to be actualized. On the 31st of December 2021, he had a tracheostomy in order to prevent complete debilitation of his breathing. January 2nd 2021, the doctors conducted a gastrostomy surgery in order to feed him. January 5th 2021, the doctors put a drain in for the pericardial fluid which accumulated around his heart due to a window in his stomach. Since then, Hector has been admitted into the Intensive Care Unit full time. He is now reliant on a respirator. Doctors have had to pause treatment due to the complications.
We recruit you to come to our aid in paying for these expenses so that when he is released he can begin chemotherapy or radiation treatment. We pray these treatments will reduce the tumor's size enough to begin the final major surgery and completely eradicate the tumor. We appreciate any donation you are able to make, and we praise God for your prayers and support during our fight.
